Well the wind claim is in a review of the product not a manufacturer claim, and the design is clearly not one that could hold in sustained 75mph winds. Again it's a Wenzal a low end tent manufacturer, it has a good product guarantee but not a stay dry guarantee like a Coleman does. For general car camping in sheltered campsites it will do just fine but as stated before you get what you pay for. Compare anything you find to Coleman, Kelty, or Eureka products there all in the same price range.
