Does anyone know the title of a horror movie, late 80's early 90's maybe. May be based on a true story.?

I saw this movie when I was a kid and just remember bits and pieces. The movie I'm thinking of features a family living in a house, and they discover it's haunted. The wife starts hearing voices in her pillow, they have a priest come to exorcise their house, but it doesn't work. When the family takes a camping trip, this black cloud ghost follows them there. When they finally move out and into a new house, the black cloud is there too. I can't remember many more details than that. If anyone recognizes this, and knows the title, that would be great. Thanks
