What do you think of the name Angela?

I'm considering it as a baby girl name. I hesitate only because it sounds slightly 80s to me and I strongly dislike the nickname "Angie." Do you like Angeline better or less well than Angela? I won't go with Angelina because of the "Angelina/Brad Pitt" ociation. What do you think of Angela compared to other "A" names like Adeline, Ashlyn, Anna, or Allison?
