How much money do I have to pay if i terminate my newspaper subscrition?

mmkay, so I was subscribed to this newspaper company who told me in a really quick sentence that I had to pay $34.98 for the subscription before hanging up. So its been a month now and I already got the bill for it, and the subscrition is supposed to continue for 2 more months, so I was wondering, If i terminate my subsription now, do I still have to pay for the $34.98 or only partial? And if i terminate it, will they ask me questions on why i did? And if i do have to pay for the full or partial money, how do i do that? Money-order? Please help me out!!
