Is it alright to take more allergy medicine than directed?

This box says not to take more than 1 tablet in 24 hours (it's a generic Claritin product). I took one yesterday at about 5 p.m. and I was fine but I think the allergies were invigorated again when I went outside for a run. I'm sneezing, watery eyes, runny nose now. Would it be alright to pop another pill even though it hasn't been 24 hours?
